Frédéric Legault is the Vice President and Chief Information Officer at METRO Inc. since March 2015.

He has held various strategic leadership roles in major national and international companies, primarily in the retail and manufacturing sectors. He has a strong expertise in implementing and evolving infrastructures and applications to support business needs, as well as optimizing and integrating business processes.

Frédéric is actively involved in governance and industry boards. He has been a member of the Canadian Grocery Board at GS1 Canada since 2015 and joined the Board of Directors at Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM) in January 2024.

He holds a Master of Science in Management specializing in Information Systems from École des Hautes Études Commerciales (HEC), Montreal (1997). He also earned a bachelor’s degree in administrative sciences (1994) and a Certificate in Political Science (1990), both from Université Laval, Quebec.

Outside of work, Frédéric is actively involved in community initiatives, supporting organizations such as Centraide and Tel-Jeunes.
